AlsoAsked.com: Extracting Google PAA Question Trees for AEO Content Planning
AlsoAsked.com is an AEO-specific question research tool that extracts and visualizes Google's People Also Ask (PAA) question trees - revealing the full hierarchical question landscape that Google associates with any seed keyword. Because PAA questions are the same questions Google's AI systems use to organize topic knowledge, AlsoAsked data maps directly to AI Overview, voice search, and featured snippet content opportunities.
The tool's core value: rather than guessing what questions your audience asks, AlsoAsked shows you the questions Google has already validated as related to your topic - at multiple depth levels, revealing the full question taxonomy machine learning systems use to understand your niche.

The AlsoAsked AEO Workflow - 6 Steps
From seed keyword to FAQPage-schema-ready content cluster:
Enter seed keyword
Go to AlsoAsked.com and enter your primary target keyword. This should be the broad topic you're trying to build AEO content for, not a specific long-tail variant. Example: for an AEO content strategy around email marketing, enter 'email marketing' rather than 'best email marketing tool for small business'.
Select country and language
AlsoAsked scrapes PAA boxes from real Google SERPs. Select the target country (data will reflect PAA results in that market) and language. For multilingual sites, run separate country/language combinations and merge the question sets - PAA questions differ significantly by market for the same seed term.
Expand the question tree
AlsoAsked's default view shows the first layer of PAA questions triggered by your seed keyword. Click any question to expand its own PAA tree - revealing what Google considers 'related questions' to that question. This 2nd and 3rd level expansion reveals the full question hierarchy that AI systems use to organize knowledge about your topic.
Export to CSV
Click 'Export' to download all discovered questions as a CSV file. The export includes the question text and its depth level (L1 = directly from seed keyword PAA; L2 = from clicking a L1 question; L3 = from clicking an L2 question). Store exports date-stamped - PAA question sets shift over time as Google updates its query understanding.
Cluster questions by sub-topic
Group the exported questions by topic cluster. Questions covering the same concept (e.g., all questions about 'email marketing costs' cluster together) should be answered on the same page. Questions about distinct concepts (email marketing vs automation vs deliverability) should each have separate pages - one question cluster per piece of content.
Map to content and FAQPage schema
For each cluster: create a content piece with answer-first paragraphs for each question, implement FAQPage schema with all cluster questions as MainEntity items, use the exact question phrasing from AlsoAsked as heading text (H2 format: 'How do I...?', 'What is...?'). The PAA-exact phrasing is already the query format Google's AI system understands as a question-answer pair.
